About Pop Vault

Pop Vault was founded in 2015 by two brothers from the UK, Ricky and Amit Patel, lifelong entrepreneurs with retail in their DNA.

Their journey started early. Back in 1983, their dad opened the family's very first video rental store. Ricky was just 9, Amit only 6, growing up behind the counter at a time when VHS was king, for context, this was when the original Rocky was hitting home video.

What began as one small shop quickly grew into something much bigger. Over the years, the family expanded to 20 stores across the UK, becoming a staple for movie lovers and collectors alike. Fun fact, they were even selling original Pokémon cards from Base Set, Jungle, and Fossil back in 1998, long before the boom we see today.

As the world shifted from physical media to digital, Ricky and Amit adapted. In 2009, they launched Replay Entertainment Exchange, a chain of video game stores focused on buying, selling, and trading. The concept was a huge success, built around community, value, and the thrill of the trade.

In 2015, Ricky took that experience overseas and moved to the United States. Combining his passion for video games, movies, and anime, he created something new, Pop Vault, a store designed for collectors, gamers, and fans of pop culture. A place where nostalgia meets discovery.

In 2021, Pop Vault opened its Savannah location in the heart of downtown, and it has been home ever since. What makes it special is not just the products, it's the people. The team has grown into a group of passionate, knowledgeable fans who love helping customers find that perfect item or make their next great trade.
